Uncharted is heading to NAVC HiVE in Minneapolis this June to deliver immersive conflict management training as a special sneak preview of our upcoming Conflict Management Certificate.
This training is a 1-day session offered twice throughout the HiVE event.

The Program: Conflict Management Essentials
This program features interactive workshops and roundtable discussions where attendees will actively work on developing conflict management skills and how they apply to teams and veterinary practices.
Section 1 | Understanding Conflict and Your Team
Explore the root causes of conflict, from substantive differences to emotional tensions. Understand why conflicts arise in veterinary practices and how they impact team dynamics. Identify common triggers and behaviors associated with workplace conflicts. Learn strategies to address conflicts proactively and prevent escalation.
Section 2 | Managing Feelings: Theirs and Yours
Delve into the Conflict Cycle and learn how to shift your mindset and influence others for effective conflict resolution. Explore emotional reactions and how they affect decision-making and communication choices in conflicts. Gain practical tools to navigate small, medium, and large conflicts with confidence and empathy.
Section 3 | Preparing for Conflict (It’s Not a War)
Develop emotional intelligence skills for self-awareness, self-management, and social interactions. Gain practical tools to use empathy and learn to assume good intentions of others during conflict situations. Practice effective communication techniques, including the SBI (Situation, Behavior, Impact) model.
Section 4 | Real Conflict: What To Say and How To Say It
Acquire skills to address conflicts between yourself and others in the moment and after they occur. Learn verbal strategies to de-escalate tensions and foster constructive dialogue between colleagues. Understand the difference between communicating to impact versus being heard in conflict resolution.
