Loading the Bus (All About the People) – SOLD OUT
Strategic Planning Workshop 3
Do you have the right people to go where you want to go? How do you know? How do you make adjustments so that the strengths of your team are on full display and the weaknesses (every team has weaknesses!) are hidden, minimized, or negated? In session three, we get into evaluating your people.
February 23 –5 PM PT | 7 PM CT | 8 PM ET
Session 3 is two hours long.
Cost is $99 or FREE for Uncharted Members.
This series of workshops can be taken independently by a practice owner OR practice manager, however, the best recipe for success is hospital leadership teams taking the class together. Taking the course with your fellow team leaders will enable you to get better buy-in from your team, set an agenda for follow-up meetings inside your clinic, and take the lessons you learned back to your practice in a way that will get the change you want.

More Than An EAP – Making Wellness Happen in Your Practice
You keep on pushing through the long days, the burnout, working short-handed. You’re waiting for things to “calm down” before you work on your business instead of in it… but when does that end? What if it doesn’t?
This mentality is not sustainable for you or anyone on your team. You’ve got to find a better way. Bret Canfield has worked with dozens of teams on finding sustainability in practice. In this brand new workshop, he is focusing on the benefit you have to know about and how to implement it – an Employee Assistance Program. If you think it’s out of reach, he’ll tell you to think again!
He is going to give you real, tangible solutions and tactics to build your days around wellness, rather than wellness around your day.
Join us on March 24 from 2-4 pm ET/11-1 pm PT for $99 (FREE for Uncharted Members!)
Members must still be registered to attend.

Motivating People Who Don’t Want to be Motivated – SOLD OUT
NEW WORKSHOP FROM DR. ANDY ROARK & STEPHANIE GOSS
This brand-new program was created from a decade of working with practice leaders to motivate veterinary professionals in the trenches. The vast majority of “unmotivated people” are simply not understood or engaged with the messaging that is coming from their practice leaders. We can fix that. This workshop will teach you how.
In this 2-hour class we will:
- Work with the personality types that YOU are dealing with, and we will do it in a fun and interactive way.
- Give you a chance to discuss your communication challenges in a positive and productive way.
- Give you a simple and powerful set of tools you can put to work immediately in your practice.
JUNE 9 from 12-2 PM ET | 9-11 PT
Registration is $99 (Free for Uncharted Members).
For group purchasing email admin@unchartedvet.com.
** This is a live, interactive workshop. For the session, you will need to have your own computer with audio and webcam available. We will be asking all participants to engage in online video conversations, and some people may share private information regarding their practice, so sharing logins and/or broadcasting the workshop in public (e.g. having it on in the treatment room) is strictly prohibited. We want to help you succeed in getting the most out of this workshop so we ask that you carve out the time to work on your business, not in your business during the workshop.

Pay Scales and Wage Transparency: Get Started
Have you ever sat down to give someone a raise and realized you had no idea how they got to where they are, salary wise? Have you ever been told or heard someone in a practice say “you aren’t allowed to discuss your pay with anyone but management!”? You are not alone. Recent law changes in multiple states and more coming down the pipe January 1, 2023 make pay scales and wage transparency an urgent matter for all veterinary practices to consider. We will talk through some of the most common pitfalls that veterinary practices face when it comes to paying their teams. We will also discuss the most important things you need to know from a legal/HR perspective when it comes to setting our practices and teams up for success. Then we will walk through how to create a payscale system that promotes equity across classes of employees, puts personal professional growth at the forefront of decision making and helps put your individual team members in control of how much they make and allows them to understand when/how they can change that.
In this Workshop we will:
- Review of National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and discussion of concerns around wage transparency in veterinary medicine.
- Review the idea of an established pay scale: what needs to be considered, where are your people now and how to implement a scale when you have people who are overpaid.
- Review benefits as a piece of compensation: what are the options (hint: the sky is the limit), what you can’t include, how to pay for it and how to get your team to understand the costs associated with benefits.
- Discuss how to implement a payscale and tie it to your training program, so that your team know exactly where they stand when it comes to money and how they are now in the driver's seat.
Join us on Sunday, November 20 from 4-6 PM ET/ 1-3 PM PT for $99 (FREE for Uncharted Members!) Members must still be registered to attend.
