After going through an unexplained illness last year, I realized just how powerless it can make you feel to not know what’s going on with your own body. Pets are an extension of us and our families, so it really made me stop and think about what our clients go through when their pets are sick and they need our help. That’s why I decided to speak on power dynamics in the exam room and how we can make our clients feel more in control.
